Taken from Metalsucks:
Hot on the heels of announcing their signature to Metal Blade Records and the release date of their upcoming album The Parallax: Hyperspace Dialogues (to be released April 12th this year), prog metalcore legends Between the Buried and Me have announced a string of tour dates in North America promoting the new release. 15-Apr Farmingdale, NY The Crazy Donkey 16-Apr New England Metal & Hardcore Fest The Palladium 17-Apr Lancaster, PA Chameleon Club 18-Apr Pittsburgh, PA Altar Bar 19-Apr Williamsville, NY Club Infinity 20-Apr Montreal, QC Le National 21-Apr Toronto, ONT Opera House 22-Apr Toledo, OH Headliners 23-Apr Pontiac, MI The Crofoot Ballroom 25-Apr Milwaukee, WI Eagles Ballroom 26-Apr Lawrence, KS Granada 27-Apr Denver, CO Summit Music Hall 29-Apr Vancouver, BC Rickshaw Theatre 30-Apr Seattle, WA El Corazon 1-May Portland, OR Hawthorne Theatre 3-May Sacramento, CA Ace of Spades 4-May San Francisco, CA Slim’s 5-May Pomona, CA Glasshouse Music Hall 6-May San Diego, CA Soma 7-May Mesa, AZ Nile Theatre 9-May Dallas, TX The Door 10-May Tulsa, OK The Marquee 11-May Memphis, TN New Daisy Theatre 12-May Atlanta, GA The Masquerade 13-May Nashville, TN Rockettown 14-May Asheville, NC The Orange Peel They will be supported on this tour by American death metal group Job for a Cowboy, the German post-metal symphony The Ocean Collective, and experimental grinders Cephalic Carnage. --- Job for a Cowboy make me and also make me that they have a higher slot on the roster than The Ocean, but getting to see The Ocean and BTBAM is going to be more than epic. I'm so stoked for this show.

That's actually a pretty good rule of thumb in my opinion, hehe. They do try to be excessively brutal and they're not remotely prog, so also take that for what you will.

Yes! Can't wait to see BTBAM again. I'm circling May 12th on my calendar. I'm not too big on the other bands there (although apparently Job For A Cowboy has gotten better over the years), but the point is BTBAM is playing so all is well.

I saw BTBAM with Cynic, Devin Townsend and Scale the Summit in Philly last year. I went mostly to see Cynic. I was pretty disappointed after Scale the Summit. The whole environment turned sour. People were throwing up on the floor, getting thrown out, Cynic's set was booed heavily by drunks and the sound by the time BTBAM played was awful. I had been to a BTBAM show in Jersey and the results were similar.

I love BTBAM and I'm just starting to get into The Ocean, but there is just no f**king way that I am going to sit through a Job for a Cowboy set. Unless ticket prices are too good to resist.
Damnit, they are. |

Stupid f*cking Job For a Cowboy does not deserve a bigger set than The Ocean.
I'm hoping for the show I can leave during Job for a Cowboy's set and maybe go say hi to the guys with The Ocean at the merch stands or something until BTBAM come on.

Wow, really? That's too bad, Scale the Summit was actually received much more favorably than I thought they would be at the concert in SF, and Cynic got the crowd into it .(aside from a couple of drunks) The sound was sh*te though. Edited by Evolutionary Sleeper - February 25 2011 at 14:30 |

The band is so full of themselves. No matter many times I ask or how I phrase it, they refuse to come to my house and play to me for free. So I guess I'll have to buy a ticket and go drive to see them perform and be blown away. Again.
