I gotta go with "Into the Void". I think it may not only be my favorite Black Sabbath song, but my favorite heavy metal song ever. So many amazing riffs, especially that unbelievable intro riff. It's like the devil created that riff himself! And during the short, fast middle section, you see hints of what was soon to be thrash metal. The song was just way ahead of its time in so many ways. Ultra heavy. The ending section is also quite memorable, with Iommi's awesome solo and that sweet ending riff.

To this day I'll posit that "Into the Void" is the metal song by which all others must be measured.

Children of the Grave, hands down. Speaking of MoR, what's the deal with After Forever? Why are such blatantly Christian lyrics on a Black Sabbath album?

Lord Of This World-a really great, heavy rhythm, as only  the Sabs could do it!

Why not? Alot of Sabbath's lyrics deal with the conflict between good and evil and when that's the case the point of view is usually pro-good or calling on God for protection. Take the lyrics to "Black Sabbath" for example.

Gosh, my favorite Sabbath album.... What to choose, what to choose.....

"Lord Of This World" squeaks out a narrow victory.

Into the Void, agree more or less with the OP. Some crushing riffage in there, sick.
