Mark Westworth leaves IQ, I just read it in DPRP. Now either Martin comes back, and they redo old IQ with him and Cookie, or something tells me that IQ is over. Unhappy

DPRP is a very reliable source, but is there a link to an official announcement?

IQ over???!!!
HELL NO!
I am sure they will find a suitable replacement; there is a lot of talent out there.
As far as Martin coming back? I would love it but it will never happen.

IQ have never been strangers to lineup changes & members leaving/rejoining the band; reading between the lines of Martin Orford's interview here on PA, I can't see him rejoining for various reasons, so new guy or...

It's starting to become a bit of a soap opera, isn't it? A real shame, because I thought he did a great job on Frequency.

I hope they find a good replacement, because the last two albums really have shown a band at the top of their game.

I don't see Orford returning. I think he is simply too pi**ed off with the business, and the band.

A shame really. Frequency is an amazing album and the keyboard playing was a big part of what made it awesome.

I don't want Martin Orford to come back though.

Thank you for everything, Mark - I had an early monring listen with IQ's "Frequency" as a homage of gratitude.

yeah, i agree- mark westworth did an exellent job on "frequency", so not good news, but i believe mike holmes and pete nicholls determination to continue will persevere, and yes- there"s loads of talent out there,i"d even contemplate auditioning myself,as i used to play similar keys with galahad, but i"m busy with no less than 3 bands at the moment! god bless I.Q! their diehards! so i can"t see a problem with finding a good replacement, i just hope they keep the mellotron sounds going! it really ads to the "dramatic feel" of the band.

That would be nice to see Paul Menel back in IQ.
OK, I am probably the only one to wish so...
