Issue 179 is now available via subscription from www.classicrocksociety.co.uk . 

 

In the current issue:

 

Interviews with Magenta’s Christina Booth, talking about her new solo album;  neo-prog veterans Konchordat talk about their return to music making; Jonathan Edwards of Panic Room on their new album Satellite; Bachman Turner on their recent comeback. There are also features on Gordon Giltrap, Touchstone,  Chevy, Dweezil Zappa, newcomer Hazel Mills and former Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball talking about his new band Zoso.

Regular features include the usual columns by John Wetton and Stephen Lambe, plus 4 pages of live reviews including a major report from Nearfest in the USA.  Richard Barnes looks at overseas prog in “Foreign Affairs” and Alistair Flynn reports on the metal scene in “The Graveyard Shift”.  This issue also features a massive 18 pages of CD and DVD reviews, including coverage of new offerings by Godsticks, Zoso, The Enid and Jorn’s tribute to Ronnie James Dio, plus Twelfth Night’s latest reissue Art and Illusion.
