Hey

I'm thinking of buying Mike's signature PRS guitar, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the guitar or with any PRS.

Currently, I am playing an Epiphone Les Paul Standard.

Any opinions?

My technical knowledge of guitars is limited, but aesthetically, that PRS is pure hedonism.

If someone bought it for me I would play it, but there are many, many other guitars I would choose over that if I had any money

hmm, if I got one of those I'd probably swap the pickups

It got a really good review in one of the UK guitar magazines recently. They particularly liked the neck.

PRSs are great guitars. Haven't had the pleasure of playing one of those particular models.

Just a little nitpick of mine, however....I'd be hesitant to buy a guitar with another band's logo on it, especially if you make your own music. I've never liked advertising a brand, even if that brand is one of my favorite bands (which Opeth is).

Yeah, thats going to be expensive, and I never gotten into paying a lot because it looks like someone else's guitar.  But it IS a PRS so it's assured to be pretty dominant.  I've played PRS guitars before and they played like a dream.
Which of you to gain me, tell, will risk uncertain pains of hell?
I will not forgive you if you will not take the chance.

actually, look closer; that's the SE model - made in Korea - and it's only about 650$ street

still, definitely better than an Epiphone
