Why is both Rubber Riff and Alive & Unwell - Recorded In Paris listed as live albums when both the official SM biography, the sound of the albums and all other reference sources (including the reviews of them in PA) are listing them as studio albums - which they indeed are ?

I would had understood it if they were listed as Turkeys though........... Can that be arranged ?

Are you sure Alive and Unwell... isn't live recording? I never heard it,but look at this source:

I re-checked with RYM as well - Alive and Unwell... is live album.

Rubber Riff is recorded sessions, later used for album, more difficult case:

I am referring to the Bennet biography (the book) which says this:

Rubber Riff is a proper studio recording although one of the members fooled the rest of the band to record it under the pretense of it being a demo recording for the jingles department in BBC.

Alive & Well was meant to be recorded live because the band was not able to pay for studio time (they were bankrupt/less wealthy than a mouse in a church). The material was brand new and never played anywhere else. But the live recordings was botched so  they ended up having to do the whole thing in the studio.

Both albums are therefore studio albums.

.............But I agree that this thing is a mess and a fair reflection of the less than dignified end of this band. A band I am a fan of........... Ouch              NURSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah. Now I understand why Alive and Well sounds so bad.
