I went to see a concert of Mostly Autumn with a couple of friends (also prog lovers) and we all agreed it was the worst gig we had ever been to. I must admit i'd only heard Last Bright Light but this just seemed to be overly earnest stadium rock which is never a good thing at the best of times. The folk influence seemed largely buried in generic rock cliches.

On exit my friend remarked: "Have we just seen Spinal Tap." He wasn't too far off.
Another emotional suicide, overdosed on sentiment and pride

Good band. I did not have a chance to attend their concert, but live DVDs are great.
I'm more or less familiar with MA discography and I can't say there are many stadium rock songs.
Maybe the band prepared a special set for you and your friends, I don't know. LOL
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)

I've seen them four times, and they've never let me down yet - a great live band.

This is just plain sad/   love Mostly Autumn  - but they can at times disappoint with set lists that are based on new material. Hope they are still great without the lovely Heather Findlay

I have seen them twice. The first time the sound wasn't brilliant but the second time it was fine. Both times I thorughly enjoyed them and I will be seeing them again in November.

I've seen tham a few times in a small venue near me, and they've not disappointed. Once with Heather singing on her own, once with Heather with backing by the excellent Olivia Sparnenn, and once with both Heather and Ann Marie on board.
