Re the advert in the latest issue of Classic Rock presents Prog, has any member of the forum started using Mflow? If so, what do you think? Is it worth downloading and joining?

My first reaction was that it all seemed a bit complicated, With so many other options available, I couldn't see any particular attraction in that one.

I joined up, then when I downloaded the latest upgrade it stopped working - it wouldn't run past the annoying splash screen that stayed on top of all other windows. I re-installed the whole thing and managed to log in but it was so slow that it was unusable, so I gave up.
The adverts always mention free downloads but I''ve not seen any sign of them on the few occasions I have logged in.

Just tried it again, the login took about 2 minutes and now it's just hanging. It may be scanning through My Music but whatever it's doing I can't use it at all at the moment.

I think it must be fixed now as I just installed it yesterday and have had no problems getting it to work on my PC or Mac.

The library isn't exactly vast but is, I understand, growing.

I think it really comes into it's own when you've managed to follow a few good people as it becomes a constantly updated playlist.

If anyone is interested i'll be flowing assorted proggery: http://my.mflow.com/Jacksonesque

:-)

I've got it to work okay. As you say the library isn't huge but there is some interesting stuff around if you look. There's quite a good flow from the Classic Rock Prog magazine, although in some cases you can only stream 30 seconds of the track.
I still haven't worked out how to get the 5 free tracks I was promised, nor can I work out how you're supposed to share your music library, which you're supposed to be able to do.
Still not 100% convinced but I will keep using it for now.
