Hello men and women of prog rockin' - Yes I am a newbie to the site and getting somewhat deeper into the progressive musics. I'd just like to say thank you for having an entire site dedicated to this genre of music and all the bands listed. As I've looked through the site before it has opened some new doors for me. Yes, I started with Rush and 2112 was the album that began it all for me. Since then, I've enjoyed multiple bands such as Vanden Plas, Dream Theater, Epica, Genesis, Hourglass, Mastodon (Crack in the Skye), Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Queensryche, Symphony X, Yes, and much more. I hope being here can provide even more bands and artists to my attention. Once again, thank you all for hosting such a fantastic site and I hope to learn even more about progressive music!
Yours truly,
2112R

great to have you James-- 2112 was a very popular record when I was a teen in the 80s, a good Prog starter for hard rockers looking for something a bit more
welcome to PA

Hello, James. Welcome to Progarchives! I've been immersed into Yes, Dream Theater, Genesis ... and here more immersed into many many other outfits ... even currently!

Yeah, all three of those bands are short on fans here. Anyway, welcome to the site. Hopefully you'll stick around for a while and get used to us strange people who frequent the forums.
