1. both are famos for grate live shows
2. both have their own franchise (sort of)
3. most serious music fans i have met/come across loath them or don't take them seriously
4. yes two differen bands but they share SOME similar trates.
5.  i will have this in Just for Fun becouse then we can have some fun (but it can be moved to general disc or general music disc.

personly I dont hate neither of them but I certanly dont love them or like them eather, but I respect them for their brave and grounbraking live shows, if you have been to a Slipknot concert (which I have) you can't say (or you can) they arent impressive, they are like a Hardcore vaudeville event / halloween party / preformance art / barbiecue and pyro show Big smile. AND THEY ARE DANCEABLE,

I HAVE NOT SEEN RAMSTIEN LIVE YET but i have heard rumours that they will show up at Roskilde, they are more industrial but just as much fun.

Judging by the music alone Rammstein are great fun, while Slipknot are just stupid (and totally unlistenable). As for live shows, if I wanted to see one I'd go to the circus instead.

I was always a bigger Slipknot fan.

I have to admit that while not being a Slipknot fan in the slightest, and being about 40 years too old anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed their live show when I saw it.

My cell-phone ring-tone is Du Hast.
What?

Mmmm.... Franky, and to speak in a "brutal" and very vulgar way, it's like choosing between eating sh*t or eating vomit.
Oh, let's say Slipknot, for they claim enjoying death-metal bands such as Immolation.

Rammstein.

First, because they are better than Slipknot which, IMHO is pure sh*t
I am a "true" music fan I'd say but I love Rammstein. Sure, their music is simple, very simple. But Till's vocals are great, the lyrics are often funny, sometimes intriguing. Now of course their lyrics are nothing brilliant but I honestly can think of much, much worse. They are great in creating atmosphere. A few songs on Reise, Reise are honestly beautiful, chilling, etc

Never seen them live in person but clips I've seen it looks like fun!
Musicians not being too serious and just having a blast with it?
I'd say that's pretty awesome

I'd rather pour burning hot oil in my ears than listen to Slipknot.

Rammstein it is then.

Besides, as much as I pride myself on my intelligent/technical/underground musical tastes, and that is what I prefer I'm only human for gods sake!
I think we're entitled to some "unintelligent" music.

Honestly there's a sh*t ton of bands under Rammstein in my book.
