The first in a series of polls to settle the many random discussions related to athletic endeavors (trying to use the word "sport" to take what is or isn't a sport out of the argument) that come up in the forum.

NOT asking for your favorite boxer OR for the most iconic/socially relevant boxer, just the greatest at the skill of boxing.

I'm not an expert on boxing by any means but I'm going with the guy who never stopped punching (in the ring or otherwise) LOL

Time always wins.

I did too.  LOL

My favorite heavyweight boxer is Wladimir Klistchko (53-3 record, 47 wins by KO), but from the list, Evander Holyfield.

Just saw what you said about not choosing a favorite, but I think my choice would still be the same.  I've had the pleasure of seeing Klistchko fight on HBO...too bad the bout didn't last very long (knocked the guy out in the second round).

And Holyfield is the only boxer to when the heavyweight title four times.

In that case, Holyfield for me...
