Released in August 1974, Welcome Back My Friends To The Show That Never Ends...Ladies And Gentlemen, Emerson Lake & Palmer, the triple live album that chronicled ELP’s successful 1973/74 world tour made rock history. The album was designed to be a showcase of the bands raw talent, along with being testament of its blistering live show, which had become the most exciting concert experience of its time, hands down. Although taken from multiple nights that that band performed in February 1974 at the Anaheim Convention Center near Los Angeles, the original triple LP set featured the show the band played on the tour promoting Brain Salad Surgery.
Disc 1
1. Hoedown Live in Anaheim, 1974
2. Jerusalem Live In Anaheim, 1974
3. Toccata Live In Anaheim, 1974
4. Tarkus Live In Anaheim, 1974
5. Take A Pebble Live In Anaheim, 1974

2. Take A Pebble (Conclusion) Live In Anaheim, 1974

Thank you for these news.

Would you know where has this been officially announced? And when will the remasters be released?

Thanks.

Yay!  By this site, it looks like ELP's materials are being distributed by Castle/Universal, at least, these cds.  It would be nice if they would remaster to the 5.1 Dolby.  That would be hot.  I hope that as KE gets better they can replan their reunion tour.  CP seems to keep busy, but what about GL?

Isn't that second one the Works vol 1 & 2 combined? Not live, but the original studio albums.

Where does it say the albums are remastered? The spin website doesn't say much about the CDs.

Hi,
those albums have been already remastered, TWICE.The second time, they were added a few (crappy sounding bonus tracks) but the sound was better than the first series of remasters (while the original CD versions sounded really bad, for the most). So .. what 's really new  ?
The second release seems indeed "Works Volume I & II" combined, which makes maybe a good bargain with a triple CD, for those who haven't got them or just one, maybe. Yet, works Volume 2 is probably their worst release. Even Love Beach is better, I think (the "second side" is very good at least). Works volume I & II are not even real ELP albums... many (unknown and never credited) extra musicians.. They are just solo tracks , plus a few band tracks. Pirates itself is worth buying "Works Volume I" in itself, yet...
They want to do like King Crimson... 3 series of remasters, which means a FOURTH CD version of some albums ?!  How many times do they expect their fans will buy the same old LP's ? OK, we're not forced to buy, but it gets a bit on my nerves. Maybe it's just the record company that bought the rights and maybe those references are out of print in several countries, after all. I don't know this record company.
