I quite like a few of them, actually. Driving the Last Spike, Fading Lights, No Son of Mine...I think it's at least as strong as some of the 80s albums. I also have to agree that Invisible Touch has some real gems. Domino and The Brazilian...great songs indeed Approve

I think Invisible Touch is one of the best mainstream pop albums of the 80's. How many songs on that album were massive hits? I don't measure an album's worth in that way, but I think those songs were hits because they were so good artistically and commercially.
However, while We Can't Dance does have good music on it, I think it's too long. The first four songs are excellent, and make a great first side to the double album. However, songs like Never A Time, Tell Me Why, Liing Forever, Hold On My Heart, Way of the World and Since I Lost You are much weaker than anything the band put out before. I think Dreaming While You Sleep and Fading Lights would have  made an excellent second side to the first, and would have been a great, full, satisfying pop song. But with so many gutless ballads and "let's all get along, right" kind of songs, the album is bogged down in "hey CD's are really long, let's throw on a lot of songs!"
