Topic: US - Eamon's Day is Their Best Posted: July 14 2009 at 22:17 |
After listening to Eamon 's Day, I bought four other US CDs - Climbing Mount Improbable, The Young and the Restless, Reflections and A Sorrow in Our Hearts.
Eamon's Day is a masterpiece - it is equal to the best of any neo-prog music (including IQ, Flower Kings, Marillion, etc.).
The only problem is that the rest of their music is not very impressive at all. The albums listed above are very disappointing after listening to Eamon's Day. Some of the music is OK but the vocals are very weak.
I don't know how much the former lead singer, Stephan Christiaans, had to do with their sound on Eamon's Day but after he left the music went down with him.
Does anyone else find this to be so?
