So again my question is...Am I the only one annoyed that the 1997 Black Sabbath Reunion brought us next to nothing while we might have gotten another ten years of consistent album releases?

Probably!

Because taken together with the facts, it doesn't make sense. Because by the time of Forbidden, Black Sabbath was a dead duck for all practical purposes. Metalheads who were around in USA and had been following Sabbath for a long time say Sabbath were consigned to playing tiny clubs at one point and the Ozzy reunion in fact revived interest in the band. Nothing came out of it and I am thankful for that in a way because I really wouldn't want to listen to MORE Ozzy-Sabbath (though I love the original set of Ozzy albums madly), especially in the 90s. Eventually, Dio's solo career drifted into oblivion and Dio and Iommi put their differences aside - seem to have - and gave us Devil You Know this year under the name of Heaven and Hell!
