i recently got a copy from a friend of mine. it is a burnt cd and had 57 mega bytes on it, yet some tracks are over an hour long! i put it on my itunes skipped through some songs to see if it was bad files or was silent for 50 minutes or something. sure enough, the whole album contains music.

heres the track list

1. incipit tragaedia 1:16:47
2. cabine 28:14
3. Yog Soth-oth 1:00:20
4. Le ballade de lenore 12:38
5. delear prius 19:43
6. (title too long and foreign) 5:23

???
so whatsup with that? it sounds like the band... this is too weird for me now i cant listen to it cuz im afraid my soul will be stolen by some haunted CD.

A quick check on the archives should be enough to tell you that your disc's out of whack. Here's the correct listing/track times:

1. Incipit Tragaedia (15:46)
2. Cabine 67 (5:55)
3. Yog Sothoth (12:27)
4. La Ballade De Lénore (8:58)
5. Delear Prius (4:03)
6. J'ai Vu Naguère En Peinture Les Harpies Ravissant Le Repas De Phynée (4:19)

Total time 51:28

Great album, by the way. Definitely worth checking out.

where can i obtain one? preferably on vynil.

and yes i knew about the correct times i was just wondering why this cd has hours of this bands music

im just trying to figure out why this album has incredibly long versions of songs that are already long.

on a wuick check, "Le ballade de lenore" is exactly like the version on progarchives (except 12 minutes long) and the hour long songs are definitely an hour worth of music. i am just wondering if anyone would have any explenation at all! its just too wierd!

There's a media player I use sometimes which often displays incorrect track times (usually longer). But just because I was playing a nine minute song and it displays it as a nineteen minute song doesn't mean I've got an extra ten minutes of music. I imagine something similar is going on here.

A vinyl copy of Les Morts Vont Vite would probably be quite hard to obtain and set you back quite a bit. It was recently reissued on CD and is available from Wayside Music (and probably elsewhere):

I really must get that myself, come to think of it!
