Since getting a little MP3 player (and it is very little) I have enjoyed listening to a mix of my favorite music shuffled in random order.  But I immediately noticed that randomizing songs doesn't allow you to preserve the order of some songs which belong together but are lost in the shuffle.

Cases in point:
Chicago's early song suites (such as are found on Chicago "II")
The suite on the second side of the Beatles' Abbey Road
and so on...

Is there any MP3 player or software program that allows you to "link" song files together in a way that randomizing your music will still preserve a sequence of songs?

There are a number of tools for free on the net that allow you to merge several mp3 tracks into one (without a gap). I personally prefer 'Tento' for this.
