I recently discovered these guys and i honestly can't stop listening to them. Its basically a solo project of this guitar virtuouso named Tosin Abasi. Their debut album comes out on April 28th but i'm sure it has leaked by now. I'll tell ya, If they get a really good vocalist, they might be the next Dream Theater, or atleast as good as Dream Theaters was 15 years ago.
Get a 7 string or get out.

I got their CD like when it first came out.  Let me tell you something.  Spectacular.  Start to finish.  It is hard to find a bad song on the disc.  I would definitely recommomend this to anyone interested in prog.

Thumbs Up

Funny, my brother showed me this band just a few days ago!
I have really been digging them!
And Im not usually too big on instrumental music, but this album holds my attention throughout.
Also the music is great! Truly progressive, and great technicality.
Loving this album! And a one man band to boot!

When I first got the album, I had to pry it out of my player.  Absolutely addicting music.  I want to go listen to it now.  I haven't heard it in a while!

Thats pretty awesome.  I don't play guitar, but if I had that opportunity, I would start so I could get that.  That is pretty sick.  I am jealous you are getting to see them.  They aren't coming anywhere near me.

I actually came across this a few months ago. Definitely engaging. I wondered what it would be like to see it pulled off in a live context.

I'm guessing they have to have some samples, as they only play with their drummer and the two guitarists.  I find it interesting that they don't have a bassist, but Tosin does a lot of bass melody on the 8-string.

if you like this, check out the new Lye By Mistake album "fea jur", kills AAL imo... but take that with a grain of salt, it's just an opinion....
