It seems as if GARGAMEL is out to get more smurfs...

Here's an update from their website http://www.gargamel.no/:

27.02.2009
Album is at hand (well almost)

The album is finished. Not sure when the cd will be out yet. Hopefully not to long now, and it will be a very nice digipak cover. We´re also hoping to get it on vinyl, but that might take a little longer.

But for now, for those who are eager, the album is availalbe to buy as a download from Klicktrack.com.

After Wobbler, Gargamel

the Norwegians are on the move....
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Fantastic news.  Watch for the Umbles was one of the best albums of 2005 and have been waiting for a follow up ever since :D

Gargamel? Wasn't that a metal parody band from a while ago?

Check the link above in the opening post and you'll see which band this is.

I still have trouble believing that no matter what genre it is in, a band named after a goddamn Smurfs character is...

*reads reviews*

Apparently they're pretty serious business. Stern Smile
