Which of the USA's whisker sporting commander-in-chiefs wore it best?
Now, the visual evidence:
John Quincy Adams - "a statesman's burns"
Martin Van Buren - "The Red Fox of Kinderhook" is coming to join you, Elizabeth
Abraham Lincoln - "freed slaves, freed his razor"
Ulysses S. Grant - "the beard that won the war"
Rutherford B. Hayes - "the Electoral Commission knew Samuel Tildon lacked the facial hair for the job"
James Garfield - "with a beard longer than his term"
Chester A. Arthur - his mustache had its own beards
Grover Cleveland - "one consecutive mustache"
Benjamin Harrison - "Antitrust, pro orderly facial follicles"
Teddy Roosevelt - "spoke softly, let his mustache do the talking"
William H. Taft - "his mustache alone weighed 50 pounds"

For the record I must go with Chet Arthur. I mean, my God, that stache was magnificent!
And on a side note: If it takes another civil war to bring facial hair back into American politics then I'm all for it.

That Chester guy sure has an impressive whatever on this face, but to honest it looks a bit too silly for my liking. I went with Lincoln, because his beard looks the most like mine, and my beard looks extraordinarily stunningly awesome.

You have to admire Rutherford for being able to function without a mouth. Kind of reminds me of Cousin It.

Although Willi Chevalier was never a Commander-in-Chief of USA, it's undeniable that he is the President of Cool.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.
