Who else like these guys?
I just got Ashes of the Wake, and it is freakin awesome. I was weary of this band, because sometimes the constant screams/death metal growls can get tiresome for me, but he has such a range of different abilities with his voice. Plus, the musicianship is great. Awesome drumming, and very complex guitar riffs and interplay. Really like these guys.

I think they're great. One of their guitarists, forget his name, is actually self-taught in everything he knows on guiter, so alot of his finger positions and chords are very odd-looking on paper, but very creative-sounding on the records.

no thanks,
but I did sort of like their previous band Burn The Priest in their earliest days, when they were more raw and Sludgy sounding on their demo and split w/Agents of Satan

I think I've always enjoyed them. Especially their drummer, who seems to make a good variety of grooves within a couple songs. I've only listened to a handful of their songs, but I find them quite interesting, especially for the music scene they're in.

You didn't even give them a shot? I always stay for the bands, and if I don't like them, I'll leave. You might have missed out, afterall, some bands are better enjoyed when live. A band that comes to mind, metal wise, is Shadow's Fall. I don't really want one of their albums, but love seeing them. They put on an insane show.

Honestly never heard a full album from them yet. Despite that, I think they are a good band nonetheless. Speaking of Shadows Fall, not too bad either.

Lamb of God is a pretty good band IMO but Shadows Fall stinks. Seldom have I heard a more annoying frontman. No talent whatsoever and their music isnīt very exciting either. Just an opinion though.

NOW YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DIE FOR. Now that's a tune. I do like these guys, and I concur that the drumming is way above average.

Meh. Ok, but nothing special.
