Well, I have a pair of ear buds, and it seems that the left channel isn't really receiving anything, unless I push the ear bud plug far backwards. I'm not a tech person, so this is really hard to explain, but I'm assuming that you guys have run into this sort of problem before. Really, I can't stand listening to one channel, especially being a fan of a form of music that uses the two channels separately a lot, and I hate listening to music with the left earbud popping on and off, that is unbearable.

If any of you guys know what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate a bit of help. Thanks if you can.

sounds like a broken wire- either in the cable or at the connector- are they expensive? If not throw them away and get another pair.

I don't think it's a broken wire, because if I push it towards one side while it's plugged into the iPod, then sound comes through the left channel. Of course, what do I know about stuff like that?

I probably should get another pair of headphones.

Are you pushing at the plug on the ipod or the ear bud. If you are pushing at the plug in the ipod, it's the jack within the ipod- one of the contacts within the ipod has lost its spring tension and is not connecting to the earplug jack. This is a simple matter of retensioning the headphone jack contacts within the ipod- assuming you can get to them.
