Disappointed, and very Disrespected

Disappointed that, with the exception of one phone call from Alan, none of the guys have been in touch since my illness, just to find out how I am doing, and how we will foresee the future for YES. And disappointed that they were not willing to wait till 2009 when I’m fully recovered.

And I feel very disrespected, having spent most of this year creating songs and constant ideas for the band, spending time with Roger Dean creating a stage design, also working with VH1 and Sirius and XM Radio to help promote the welfare of YES.

Getting sick was not "on my radar”, and I thank my own angel Janeee and my family for helping me through this difficult time, and the many well wishers, friends and fans alike, for understanding that ''things happen''.

Of course I wish the guys all the best in their 'solo' work, but I just wish this could have been done in a more gentlemanly fashion. After all YES is a precious musical band.

This is not YES on tour...

I send best wishes to one and all,
Jon Anderson

It was never easy being in this band from the beginning except if your name is Chris Squire. I think a lot of people are disappointed.

Let's hope is not the end of Yes. In fact, Jon has removed that entry from his web and added this to his mySpace page:

YES fans like ME....

yo.......just dreaming YES music will be found again by so many young people out there,I've just been watching some YES DVD's from 6 years ago,35 year tour of Europe, I realized that the band 'still' play the 'game of adventure' through music...OK, the fans want to hear their favorite songs...and they are MY favorite songs as well, and YES deliver, but they played 'new' songs....still inventive, and with style, I feel so thankful and happy to have been a part of those days.....but ''Those days are Over', it's time to breath life again...maybe next summer, 'who knows'...

What will be the future of the Band.....not sure anymore...for a band to survive 40 years and more is tough .......

The music will survive, the CD's sound better than ever, the DVD's, most of them are good..some better than other's, but the memories last forever.........the great concerts, the shows that seem to have had the band in a 'spell' of sorts...as well as the fans...

The fans, thousand upon thousands, all around the 'rock' world, dancing and singing along, realizing us, and putting up with our constant adventuring, we were hell bent on trying different ideas, and most of the time it worked, remembering the touring with 'orchestra' the 'pick-up' orchestra's were the best, they wanted to play YES music...they had grown up with YES music...

Hearing Steve raving to my right, he plays an amazing guitar, very clear and constant, Chris, thundering around on stage, yet so delicate at times, so very musical...Alan grinning, rockin' and blasting the band into the sky, Rick almost perfect with that beautiful soundscape, and brilliant piano work...

Like I've said before, bands are very fragile ideas, they need attention, respect and 'love', they get pushed around by the outside elements, and this has always been the truth...but YES survived....see ya........jon.

So i think there are a lot of chances Yes will come back next year with a lot of prog for everyone! Big%20smile

Nobody said back then the Drama line-up was not really YES!...so why not!

And i think Jon will be back....Life is full of disapointments, we just have to get over it and i am sure Jon will.
He is very attached to all what is Yes. Sure not to have Chris and Steve not calling him once should make him feel s%tty!.................But Squire can do whatever he wants; he owns the name!

Just listening to the classic Roundabout off Fragile......Benoit David to do it live instead....nah!!!!! Not for me

Now whatever happened to David Benoit? One wonders if Benoit David's folks had a wicked sense of humour?

Great refresh comments from JA though...

The question is will they play Gates of Delirium on this tour.  Whilst a Wakeman is in the line-up, it's not Rick.  Any views?

Incidentally, if they tour the UK and expect to charge £40-£50 upwards they know where to shove it.

At least they came up with new material on that one ( which is my favourite ) that really suprised a lot of people. I can see a lot of old schoolers sitting this one out.

After reading Jon's letter to Yes fans, in which he revealed what a-holes the other members have been, all I can say is f--- them. I will not go see this tour. And I have lost all respect for Chris and Steve as people. Very sad to find out what rotten people they are inside.
Prog fan since 1974.
