Metal Mind Productions presents the first DVD of the outstanding art-rock act Believe formed by the guitarist Mirek Gil – the former leader and composer of Polish prog-rock legend Collage himself! DVD entitled “Hope To See Another Day Live” brings lush soundscapes of uncannily dreamy hues, shades and undertones spiced up with distinctively rock energy! Beautiful compositions crowned with Mirek Gil’s sublime guitar solos and the virtuosity of Japanese violinist Satomi!
The setlist for the show recorded in November 2007 (Wyspański Theater in Katowice, Poland) includes songs from the band’s debut album “Hope to See Another Day” plus a song from their latest release “Yesterday Is a Friend” as also a song from Mr. Gil’s (Mirek Gil’s former band) repertoire.
DVD also includes an interview with Mirek Gil and Believe’s vocalist Tomek Różycki, photo gallery, 2 bonus audio tracks (taken from the “Yesterday is a Friend” album), Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround sound and more! Also available in a limited swing case edition including an audio CD with the songs recorded at the concert!
The band, created by guitarist Mirek Gil, should be known already by fans of Collage and Satellite. Not only was Mirek a founding member and main song writer of Collage, but he played with Satellite as well (on the debut album). For his new band he recruited former Satellite bassist Przemas Zawadzki, Tomek Rozycki (vocals, guitars), Adam Milosz (keyboards), Wlodek Tafel (drums), and Satomi (violin). Six people, each with a different musical sensitivity. How does it work? Mirek, Tomek, Przemas... for them music is passion and joy of creation. Adam, Satomi and Tafel... for them it’s all about education, notes, classical music. It seems strange but they do understand each other very well. Nobody defined the overruling style and concept. They do what they feel is right... Believe’s debut album “Hope to See Another Day” (2006) received very good reviews from both media and fans. The music appealed to the lovers of the old Collage but also to the fans of Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd and Riverside. The follow-up album entitled “Yesterday Is A Friend” (2008) brought a powerful sound full of faith and melody with some hidden flavors. Featured 9 stories about love, happiness, freedom, truth, faith - the most important things in everyone's life.
“Hope To See Another Day Live” DVD will be also available in a limited swing case edition including a CD with songs recorded during the concert at the theater. The premiere is scheduled for 21st July 2008 in Europe and 2nd September 2008 in USA (via MVD).

my copy of the new CD is on backorder. I was very happy with the first, and actually prefer it to Satellite's last album. I wish he had included more from the Mr Gil album in the live set, but it is stylistically much softer than Believe so I'm not surprised it's underrepresented. It looks like they are out to give Satellite a run for the money

As previously announced, Metal Mind Productions will release the first DVD of the outstanding art-rock act Believe.
The band, formed by the guitarist Mirek Gil (the former leader and composer of Polish prog-rock legend Collage), recently released their second studio album “Yesterday Is A Friend” (May 2008) which is receiving fantastic reviews in worldwide media. For example, the influential progressive website Progarchives.com wrote: “Believe have succeed in blending together strong melodies, diverse arrangements, and top-tier musicianship resulting in a supremely atmospheric and highly enjoyable album. As with the work of other top class neo prog and symphonic prog bands, the album only truly reveals itself after a number of listens. That said though, the initial impact of Yesterday is a friend is still one of unfettered delight. Strongly recommended.”
