    Posted: April 06 2005 at 14:41

Just a note to say that PFM have confirmed 3 dates for Canada this summer:

July 12th Montreal - Spectrum

July 13th Quebec city - Salle Albert Rousseau

July 14th Toronto - Phoenix

PFM are still (after 33 years) an absolutely amazing live act, and I cannot recommend them strongly enough.  There are four of the 5 original members still playing, although Pagani occasionally tags along at their European shows.  I understand that Denis 'Musical Box' Gaigne is going to join them in Montreal for a song or two aswell.  Their set-list is predominantly from the classic 1970s period, and so prog fans of all tastes will enjoy it.

I hope Canada gives them a warmer reception than us Brits managed two years ago

Please do try and catch one of these shows - they are one of the last great traditional 1970s prog acts who remain true to their best music. I myself will be flying over from the UK for what will hopefully be two of the shows.  I am told that tickets will go on sale shortly.

This is part of wider North American tour, stretching from Brazil northwards, and so far they are trying to sort out dates in Guatemala, Mexico, and of course, the US.  More on that when it happens.

Just ordered tickets via ticketmaster. Thanks to this site. I've been listening to PFM for 32 years and can't believe I'm actually going to see them live in Toronto.

Seems like a lot of us canuks like prog.

I also got my ticket for the Toronto show.Just saw an add in the weekly paper for their show.

Hopefully they can still draw a sizable crowd.
