Yeah! I always loved the mix of acoustic and heavy. And love the guitar following Geddy's semi-scream-vocals. And the bass in there is f**king splendid. | Yeah, I agree completely. You should definitely like CoS and AFTK, I would imagine. If you like those, go with Hemispheres afterwards. |
I was thinking to go first with Fly By Night, with a more Hard Rock feel ala Lessons, Something for Nothing, of what I heard, and then to their most Progy section.
I love Hard Rock.. |
Fly By Night might very good for you too, of course. Caress of Steel has quite a bit of that as well; I think you'd have a good chance at liking it. I hope so, anyway, I don't want to steer you wrong. Sounds like a good direction to take if you want; sometimes even going chronological is pretty good and with Rush it might not be a bad idea in your case. (Debut is passable or not, depends on what you want) We're on PA so I'm so accustomed to recommending the Hemispheres/AFTK/2112 combination.

^ha I understand.
It's like I'm accustomed to recomend Yes-newbies The Yes Album/Fragile/CTTE hehe. Which I love their debut and Time and a Word.
