what do you think of my band

Hello my name is Mike and I am from Sacramento, California and i was wondering what you thought of my band. As of right now we do not have a singer but i was hoping that you might listen and give me some feedback on what you like and dislike.

OK Mike - So far you guys don't actually engage the suckometer.

You aren't playing prog but you could if you tried for a little cleaner instrument mix and a little less grunge.  There's some talent there, have someone step out and show it.  Don't be afraid of a guitar solo.  Have your drummer stretch out just a bit more and maybe try something besides straight 4/4.  Think about hiring a keyboard player or at least buying a synth.

When you hire a singer, hold out for someone with a good voice who can actually sing.  Avoid screamers and growlers, it's been done.  Write some intelligent lyrics - avoid the "I love Satan and I hate everything else" cliches - it's been done and you want something original if you want to sell.

Anyway, like I said you aren't prog but you don't suck.  Don't start.
