Seriously over-rated and over-hyped band, now being taken to ridiculous levels
LZ1 was a pleasant but conventional blues-rock, IV had a bit of difference about it.

if you find them so overrated, how could they possibly make your top 40?

I know it's not very original, but I voted for IV.
Wrong forum though.. LZ are in Prog-Related, which has its own section.

My favouite band of all time. Physical Graffiti is actually my favourite but from the list IV, but the other three are excellent too.

Out of these, II.
Out of all their albums, In Through the Out Door. There, I said it. I'll take Carouselambra over Stairway any day.

I'd say I only because I'm also a huge fan of the blues, and this album is nice blend of rock and blues. Each one is great in a different way, but Physical Graffiti would have been my pick, And please put the crack pipe down, farflung, it is obviously affecting you musical judgment.

The Lemon Song has my favourite example of bass. And the base/lead/drum interaction is exemplary - like Zappa's Inca Roads.

Of these, I'd have to vote for I, just for the absolute shock of hearing music played this way (and I'd grown up with Yardbirds, Cream, Hendrix, and Beck). I'm not even sure if it wasn't the production that set this one apart from its peers at the time. The others are all good, even great records, but I set the standard.

It's a shame not including Physical Grafitti. Such a great album. But I voted for III here, mostly because it's so shamefully underrated. But it's a tough choice. The only one I can rule out as a favourite is II. I know many love it, but I just can't fully appreciate it.
