Hey folks....long time reader, first time poster here!
A great band that isnt as known as they deserve to be even in the prog community...but thats gonna change next year when they go on that mega tour with Dream Theater and Opeth...is coming to town.
They are "3", fronted by Joey Eppard.   They are from upstate new york and they are incredible....especially live.   And they are playing tiny venues for nothing, so go check it out.   They will be plyaing Montreal on the 5th, Quebec on the 6th and Toronto on the 7th.
Me and my band happen to be opening in Montreal, but I'm not even gonna promote us, come for them!!!

I saw Joey solo open for Porcupine Tree and, I sh*t you not, upstage Procupine Tree.
"This is the best band that has ever opened for us in the world" Steven Wilson

"I've been a fan of the band 3 from the moment I was turned onto their CD "Wake Pig" in 2006... And as much as I already loved the CD, I was even more blown away by their live performance" Mike Portnoy

After a couple of records, they finally got a deal with Metal Blade with a big name manager....I hope they make it.    They recorded at Jerry Marotta's place.   Jerry dubbed their bassist the new Tony Levin!   The lead dude's bro used to be his drummer but then he got kicked out and joined their friend's band Coheed and Cambria.   Their dad is a famous soul guitarist, their uncle a famous punk rocker and Joey has played with Bad Brains and Funkadelic.

Anyway, as you can see, I'm quite enthustiastic...I'm gonna be such a fan boy even though Im opening for them!!!

Alors tous les fans de rock progressif du quebec, venez voir the best band you've never heard and I promise you will be happy you did!!!

I saw them opening for Porcupine Tree too and I have 2 of their discs. Excellent live bands. The albums are quite good too but the live performance was outstanding. It's really cool that you get to open for them. Are these shows only in Quebec? That's about 6 hours too far for me.

Unfortunately my son and I only got to hear their last 2 songs in October when they opened for PT at the House of Blues but what I heard was very, very impressive so I'll have to check 'em out on disc sometime.  The vocalist was pretty amazing.

3 was incredible...yet hardly anybody was there to dig it...a true injustice!!!

come on people...come to the quebec show tonight...we are...they invited us to open for them again and called us "impressive"....money cant buy sh*t like that!!!

anyway, like I said, everybody will be blown away when they play with DT and Opeth...

you must see these guys live...

our own singer didnt believe me and the drummer....during the show he cried and then bought all their records and went home completely  traumatized!

thats the typical response to seeing this live!

they will destroy DT on the tour.....I love DT, but sitting through 3 hours of look-what-I-can-do and I-can-do-it-just-like-on-the-record doesnt reach me the same way that seeing "3" live....   hopefully, a lot of people will walk away from those shows as new fans of the most underated, unknown rock band anywhere!
