I love "Home", but i don't see any similarities with "Kashmir" except the oriental feel.

well i was just kind of throwing out songs that have that sort of feel, just in case there was any chance it was indeed what he was looking for. i agree with you that it's nothing like kashmir, but again, it has the cultural feel that kashmir does and figured that it might work.

1/1 by Brian Eno. It's just plainly a rip-off.

Whoever said they think Kashmir is dull and has no hooks needs to watch or listen to the Live from Knebworth version where the various sections are accented for live effect.  Contains some of the best rhythmic chops ever!

@The Whistler: Don't know if it's metal or Kashmir-rip-off or with eastern influence enough for you but I think you should listen to some Tea Party (e.g. Walking Wounded).

Some of you might say "Oh no, here comes BB again", but I can't help it: there's a blatantly obvious KASHMIR rip-off on the BRUFORD LEVIN UPPER EXTREMITIES studio album. I forget the title, but it's THERE!

Nah, Lips of Ashes is on In Absentia and has quite an eastern feel to it.

If it was off FoaBP you probably heard Sleep Together, it has orchestra strings and now I think about it they do kinda sound like Kashmir :P

Amazing song though

It probably is Sleep Together then. Thanks for the tip, that song always gets my attention, sort of a cross between Kashmir and old King Crimson with a bit of modern metal in the rhythm guitars.

Queen's Innuendo was heavily influenced by Kashmir. Roger Taylor loved the idea of emulating the same feel Kashmir which is why Robert Plant "sang" Innuendo live with Queen at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992 but unfortunately butchered it because his voice wasn't in shape.
I prefer Innuendo in its own right. I love Kashmir too but Innuendo just has that something more special to it for me.

I can only think of the Puff Daddy song "Come with me" which heavily samples "Kashmir.
