I'm a totally ignare about musical equipment and brands, besides the obvious an well knows. In my country they are selling lead and bass guitars at very cheap prices (about 150 $) made under Phil brand. Are those guitars to be consider by a principiant?

Is the brand just called 'Phil' or Phil Brand Micro?

Cheap guitars are sometime really good. I have a Squire Strat which cost me about £100 new and it have been one of the best buys I ever made.

That's great I'd love to have an instrument that just has the name Phil on it.

I had a look around on the net for this make of guitars to see how they rated alongside other makers but couldn't find any reference to them. I suppose the question is; are you happy with them and if so I suppose they are fine.

Being a label dolly (i.e. buying it  just because of the name) doesn't alway mean they'll be good.

I've got a 14 year old Korean made Squire Strat, it is still my favourite guitar to play. Its even in a rare colour!!!!!!!!!!!

The new Chinese made ones are a complete waste of money, nothing like the Korean ones.

Where was yours made Sigod?

I aint heard of Phil guitars lol, perhaps he's just a bloke down the road.........................
