We are delighted to announce that the Summers End Festival line up is now complete with the addition to Saturday of Claire Hamill and Final Conflict. Singer-songwriter Claire Hamill was first signed to Island Records in the early 70s as a teenager. In the 70s and early 80s she toured with artists like Jethro Tull, Jon Anderson and King Crimson, was a member of Wishbone Ash and reached number one in the new age charts with the Voices album. A compilation, to be released soon by new label Esoteric Records, will span her entire 35 year career. Final Conflict are a Stoke-based Progressive Rock band with a 20 year history making dynamic, melodic progressive rock. Twin vocals and guitar are the main focus of their trademark sound, much in evidence on their 2006 album Simple. The band will play in the second slot on Saturday afternoon, with Abarax now closing the afternoon session. The complete line up now looks like this. Final timings will be announced shortly. Friday 14th September (Little Civic, Wolverhampton) Pre-show Party. 7 11pm

Sadly their drummer left the band suddenly, meaning they've had to pull out. It can't be helped, but it's been a stressful few days finding a replacement at short notice!

Infact, they broke up in 2004!
This is a new version, including Ian Jones (the original bass player) and some new musicians. Most of the rest of the band are in a band called Panic Room, and Rachel Jones is in the Reasoning.

Having announced what we believed to be the final festival line up last week, we were obviously dismayed when Abarax withdrew due to unforeseen work commitments with just a few days to go before the festival. At such a late stage, this obviously left us with very few options, but we are immensely pleased to announce that acclaimed Prog covers band The Progs will open the festival on Saturday 15th. With an authentically performed repertoire that includes classics by Yes, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson and Camel they should kick start the festival in entertainingly nostalgic fashion. We are also delighted to confirm that despite the confusion caused by their late withdrawal from a gig in Rotherham last weekend, It Bites will definitely play at Summers End! The complete line up and final timings now look like this. All timings are subject to change. Friday 14th September (Little Civic, Wolverhampton) Pre-show Party. Doors 7.30
