another record I bought in an Italian sales section:
Ivano Fossati Dal Vivo (Tour Acoustico 2004) former `Delirium` singer Ivano Fossati who has already a long solo career in a live acoustic set. I am not familiar with his solo output, but I suppose it`s a best of live, great songs wriiten all by IF with the exception of a Boris Vian adaption ( Le deserteur) a Chico Buarque song (Que sera) and a song co-written with Faber, mostly melancolic songs supported by Ivano`s deep sensual  voice his piano playing and a delicat instrumentation (his brother Claudio on drums) Great record!

Tadpoles keep screaming in my ear
"Hey there! Rotter's Club!
Explain the meaning of this song and share it"

After he left Delirium in the early Seventies, Fossati produced at least one very prog-related album, "Il grande mare che avremmo attraversato". In later years, he became more and more of a 'typical' singer-songwriter, though always keeping high standards of musical and lyrical quality. His very distinctiive voice is indeed one of the best in the Italian music scene.

Fossati has been suggested for addition in RPI, but his links with prog are tenuous at best, and the suggestion has been put aside - at least until some major restructuring of subgenres is implemented.
