I pick The Beatles because they're generally FAR more popular band and more influential. The Who was great, but I've only discovered them recently. Can you believe that in Poland they are relatively unknown? Well, I mean, they are known, but just as "one of many bands", not even close to the popularity of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple... But I believe that in my country the most popular rock band ever is by far Queen. At the end of 20th century we had a national poll chosing the best rock albums of all time. If i remember correctly "A Night at the Opera" was number 3, and "Innuendo" was number 1. "DSOTM" and "The Wall" were also in the top 10, as well as "Sgt.Pepper", Metallica's "Black Album", and I was pretty surprised to see "In The Court of The Crimson King" somwhere around 10th place!. None of The Who's albums were in the top 100...
