I play in a Prog band called Sir Cedrik and we had an own rehearsal room in school. Then the headteacher threw us out because only two of our five band-members went to the school that allocated our rehearsal room. That was a year ago. We've been seriously looking for a new rehearsal room but we were not able to find any room until yet. We've been asking and asking, two people told us that they may be able to allocate a room for us, but it is a long haul and they usually don't call us, so I've always called them. Still we are waiting for a room. The city we live in is a small town, but it really seems that we've got only few rehearsal rooms here and those few rooms semm to be engaged...

A pretty sad fact because we wanted to record our first album last year, but then we were thrown out and the guy who has the studio could not record anything for us because he had trouble with the technique in his studio. Unhappy

I just wanted to know if some of you have had or still have similiar problems with finding a rehearsal room.

Hi there - If anyone is looking for rehearsal rooms in the UK I recently found a great place in Lincolnshire called the Metheringham Music Factory - see their myspace here http://www.myspace.com/jeanius_music

There are 2 great rooms & the place is an old farm & down the end of a long farm track - not a sole to be seen. Jean who runs the place will let bands crash overnight either in the rooms or in caravans & does breakfast for a few quid extra !

I would definately go there again.

Cheers
