According to this report, people who listen to bands like Deep Purple are more intelligent.
I have always known this!

I think there is a bit of truth to it

Tony Blair admits to being a Sabbath fan in his youth (he has probably moved on to bands like DT now!)

The Ex PM of Japan also loves his metal! (see 3rd paragraph)

As much as I agree with the premise of this thread, I think it would be best if it were moved to Just for Fun....Wink

I figure it sounds right. Of course, the most socially well adjusted are AC/DC fans. Especially the ones who get their dander up when critics say that AC/DC released 11 albums that all sound the same. The ones with proper self-esteem & perspective answer that they disagree - AC/DC have released 12 albums that all sound the same. Tongue

P.S. This is an actual quote from Angus & Malcom.

Hey, why argue with music critics. They don't pay for the albums or to get into concerts. Plus I remember seeing the Offspring get pissed off when an interviewer mentioned that "critique". I liked some of their stuff, but felt a bit turned off when they didn't just take the piss & say something like "ssshhh, our record label doesn't know yet". Tongue It reminds me of that quote one the PA "posters" has from Rick Wakeman.

Matthew Kean tells us he went to see the acoustic Jethro Tull tour in March 2007 (no news as to whether fans who donned a codpiece got to sit in the front two rows). Ian Anderson introduced Aqualung by saying "this is probably our most famous song, see if you recognise it. And don't you dare shout 'Smoke On The F**king Water!'"

"There seem to be quite a large percentage of young American boys out there tonight. A long way from home, eh? Well so are we... Gotta stick together." -I. Anderson
