I appreciate all of the kind words about ProGGnosis in this topic.

We are a small unit - about 7 or 8 core participants and I can not afford the kind of storage space (web hosting costs) that would be required to pull off what either ProgArchives and progressive ears are able to do - hence we have no forum.

Many of our genres are incompletely defined because, well - look at the # of people involved here at Progarchives and over at Progressive Ears and compare it to the 7 or 8  core  people at proGGnosis.    Basically we just do not have the resources in people to complete the execution of our vision.

Though we may never have enough participants to completely flesh out our concepts, we have already made our mark.  I consistently find our definitions pasted in forums here and ground we have broken years ago adopted by this and other sites.  it wasn't many years ago a watched a brutal discussion over admission of Uriah Heep into ProgArchives and over the years seen the evolution to inclusion of ProgRelated - something we were doing 5 years ago.    We are not perfect and we are no doubt often wrong - -but we are at no limitation in goals, ideas and desire to do good.

If it were possible to find more participants and reviewers I would.. I have a constant backlog of 40 promos as is......
I have to admit that it is sometimes difficult to read  when our (ProGGnosis) failings in execution overshadows the actual strengths of our ideas and significant innovations.

interesting.....  find it hard to believe that lack of willing (core) participants should hold you back.  Jesus... it seems everything wants to have a say in how this site is run LOL As far as lack of a forum....  pfff.... you can can only see the same threads for the 20th time before you sort of lose interest, then there are the non-prog threads hahahhah. The fun is the behind the scenes stuff.  I must admit I haven't checked your site out that much... but I'll take a looksie at it.  I always have an opinion and always am ready to shoot my mouth off and express 'em hahha. I'm a big supporter of detailed classification of the prog... it is too damn vast to contain .... with any degree of sense...  all the prog groups.. not to mention those that aren't prog.  Have never understood arguments against further classification for that matter....  As my good friend here, Andrea Cortese said.... this is all about the 'average poster' or those new to prog. Damn... getting on soap box again LOL

No, you're right, as I said before, your site gives valuable information, we (Symphonic Team( have used it as a reference a lot of times it's vert accurate.

I don't agree with such vast number of sub-genres but this does bnnot overshadows the merit of the site.

Keep on with the good work.
