Well, what is the question of this topic, really?

Cuz if you're saving these ten albums from ultimated destruction at the end of the world, it would really have to be representative of the human race.

So, uh...

"Headhunters" by Herbie Hancock
"The White Album" by The Beatles (Yes, both discs)
"Kid A" by Radiohead
"The Rite of Spring" by Stravinsky (yes, I know, not exactly an album)
"Lateralus" by Tool
"We're only in it for the Money" by Frank Zappa
"De-loused in the Comatorium" by The Mars Volta
"Yanqui U.X.O" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor
"The Rotter's Club" by Hatfield and the North
"Hosianna Mantra" by Popul Vuh

I feel that while some of these are not necessarily my favorite discs, they best represent what humanity is all about in their own respective way, and provide the best range of musical variety.

Go and listen to my music.

Aside from my Yes, Genesis, Hackett, Marillion, etc... I just discovered a couple that have to go with me:

God is an Astronaut: All is Violent, All is Bright
Mono: Under the Pipal Tree
godspeed you! black emperor: Lift your skinny fists...

Yeah, I just discovered this thing called 'Post/Experimental and am diggin' it.

The obvious choices:

Yes - Close to the Edge
ELP - Brain Salad Surgery
Gentle Giant - Free Hand
Beatles - Abbey Road
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew

The less obvious maybe:

Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
David Sylvian - Gone to Earth
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Led Zepplin - Physical Graffiti
Radiohead - OK Computer

These are all albums I never get tired of listening to.
