   i checked out this band Ascendant here at www.myspace.com/ascendant. they're pretty good. they're like a mix of progressive metal with thrash and some jazz influence. it's all instrumental too. i say check em out, the first song caught my ear and got me hooked right away. you can download all their songs. it's too bad they broke up
