What are your opinions about this old slovak progressive band?

Hi there.
I am from Slovak Republic and keep watching our progressive scene. There are few recent bands which can be labeled as prog. Like Gagaz - very nice progmetal, Persona Grata - young group from Bratislava with great classic style.
We had also some superb prog bands in the past. Like Collegium Musicum with genius Marian Varga sounding like ELP.
Fermata - recomended to every prog ears
I am still looking for every prog sound which come from our country. Hope to hear lot of them in the future.

I would go back to Emerson in Nice - said a number of times CM early albums sound like tidied up Nice and Varga a much better player, on I'm told a Russian built Hammond copy. In addition the bass solo on (in English) You Are Impossible on Collegium Musicum Live is way ahead of its time

Hi, vladi!

You mentionned Persona Grata above. I was very impressed by their debut EP released last year. Do you know if they released an album and , if so, how is it???

Hi Eugene

I have seen Persona Grata as support for Riverside in Nitra (Slovakia) and it was very good. I have talked to the drummer and asked for debut album. He said that it is now in progress Surely i will inform Progarchives about their debut. They are young but they have fresh energy in their music

Thanks for the info, Vladi. They do have fresh energy and ideas (which is even more important) as well, as basically opposed to Riverside. If Persona Grata continue in the vein of their EP they will be so much greater than any Riverside imaginable.
