Unfortunately, I seem to have found another problem when accessing PA. Approximately 30-50% of the time, the purple background loads, followed by a little box saying IE has encountered a problem with another running program & must close (which it does).

The finger is pointed fairly & squarely at a file named flash.ocx from within Flash Player 6. This is a problem which does occasionally occur elsewhere; but very rarely. (I am also bombarded with dialogue boxes asking me whether or not to install Flash, when accessing the discography sections of PA, and spend much of my time pressing "Don't Install".......I suspect this is not unconnected.........)

So, apart from telling me to ditch IE (which ain't gonna happen - it works fine most of the time Smile )can anyone advise me how to prevent this conflict? Or is it the inevitable effect of a dodgy ad on the main page ?! Big smile

Thanks

Is it as simple as installing the latest version of Flash?

I keep trying to reply, but don't really understand these things. Like I said, getting rid of IE ain't gonna happen Wink - just leads to too many other changes. Will have to consult the Oracle, when she's finished weeding.........Big smile........not sure that we either have or want any version of Flash......the little I know about it suggests it's a problem inducing rather than a problem solving thing.....
