P.s.: I have cited also Glenn Huges that even though Bass player alternates with David Coverdale.

See the bassist poll... and, by the way, it's Hughes - though there used to be a joke like that when he was grossly overweight, at the time he recorded "Seventh Star" with Tony Iommi.Wink

Ian Gillan. Listen to Child in Time off Made In Japan, probably the best vocal performance ever.

You must be kiddin Confused >> the main man to have destroyed Classic Purple with his stupid Funk influences >> caused Blaclmore to leave

Evans, Coverdale or Gillan for me
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I'm not kiddin'Wink - Glenn is my favourite vocalist, and I quite dig his funk influences! That said, Gillan and Coverdale are also great, though very different from each other.

I agree. Clap His singing in "Child In Time" really touches me, and sometimes takes me some tears .. Cry. Surely on my 'top five' best singers ever !!
