I've just started related topic in Prog Lounge...I really wonder if Matthew done something bad to site's admins... otherwise I can't get why has he deserved a moving into neo-prog category...

it is the best symphonic prog album I heard in last 6 month!!!

Never heard, but I wouldn't make a big deal out of it either way. Neo and Symphonic are so close it hardly matters to all but diehard genre dividers.

Definitly symphonic.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

There's nothing neo about Unfolded Like Staircase, pure symphonic! One of my favorite albums I've recently bought.

Same here.

Maybe that's because I'm a topic starter

Not really neo. The guy is a bloody genius though...he is easily one the most underrated writers/singers in the prog world. just wish he was a bit more prolific!

I concur.

Definitely not Neo-prog.

I foresee a "new definition" for Neo-prog on the horizon.

Music that isn't Symphonic, nor Art Rock... we'll dump bands here, because well, we don't know where they should go.  We've already dumped other bands into other categories where they don't belong, so we'll do it again.

Don't let this happen Cyggie, cheers!
