Halo, though I adore Arriving Somewhere and Mellotron Scratch. Great album, all round, actually.

Voted for "start of something beautiful" but also enjoy in the same level, "lazarus" which was the one that introduced me into the album, "glass arm shattering" and "shallow". think the whole album is great in general, but those are my highlights.

Lots of good tracks but the one I've listened to the most is probably "Glass Arm Shattering" - great atmospheric track.

Arriving Somewhere is the best. Deadwing is cool... Lazarus is also amazing... I also like "Open Car" even though its not very progressive, I like the complex time signatures, and the pinkfloydish bridge and chorus, and the nice hard-rock guitar riffs which are pretty cool... something about that song sortof gets to me... great album - I think the best in 2005, together with that TMV album and Octavarium (which has its moments...)

There are a lot of great songs on Deadwing but if I had to pick one I would pick Arriving Somewhere But Not Here.

Other favorite tracks are Open Car and Shallow.

They're all genius tracks, it's pretty hard to choose a favourite. Deadwing is definitely one of my favourite albums ever, even though it's only about a year old. I think the music on this album is probably the most prog and most origninal since Signify. I'm not really sure what my favourite song is, but I picked Mellotron Scratch. I have a friend who's madly in love with Lazarus, and I agree, it's really genius. Deadwing is great too, and Adrian Belew's solo is an amazingly welcome addition to an already wicked track. I can just say they're all my favourites.

This album is like the DSOTM of the 21st century.

Now, I agree it's a great album, but this _might_ be a bit of a hyperbole. Wink

Arriving Somewhere but Not Here.

Lazarus is 2nd favorite... it's just so beautiful.  The album as a whole is great though, my 2nd favorite by PT (after In Absentia)

My copy has a remake of 'SHESMOVEDON' as a kind of hidden bonus track which doesn't make the poll list. This is my favourite track on (or kind of on) the CD. It's just outstanding imo. Of the others, it's 'Lazarus' and 'Arriving......' .Some of the 'heavier' tracks don't do much for me...but to each his or her own.
Looking still the same after all these years...

I was given a lot of PT to listen to at one time, and I have to say that I was impressed the least by this one. I now have several that I like very much, but haven't had any desire to get my own copy of "Deadwing."
