It's so great. Some of these eight tracks are suberbly magnificient, and most of them needed not be longer than 4.40. Have you heard their Octopus medleys on live recordings?

i read that they chose that name for the album because it was an abbreviated version of "octo opus," or eight short compositions.

Great album, Knots has to be one of the most incredible songs in prog (and to think I didn't like it after my first listen).

Great Album even though it is relatively short (about 30 minutes). but its so good it doesnt need to be any longer. IMHO, knots and River are the best tracks.
