I put tool for the rhythms, not guitar solos and difficulty in playing the notes.

If it was about how difficult the songs are to play, I'll choose Dream Theater easily or Liquid Tension Experiment.

I picked Spiral Architect, but I find Cynic, Spastik Inc, Canvas Solaris, and Meshuggah more technical, but also they can be annoying with their relentlessness. Psychotic Waltz can be pretty technical at times too, but not all out like some of the other bands.
What is prog rock ?

It is music that does progress. Progressive music takes a riff, turns it inside out, plays it upside down and the other way around, and explores its potential.

Of those Spiral Architect, but there are many more like Spastic Ink, Behold... the Arctopus, Dhrythmia (which is spelt wrong, I know...), even Orthrelm although we're beginning to travel rather far away from prog metal at this point!
