My vote goes to "Broadsword" - IMO is a good blend of "old" and "new" JT.

Sure I agree with that, but IMO the song I most like is Slow Marching Band close followed by Broadsword and Beastie

The Clasp is some good techno-Tull. The live version on the 20 yrs of Tull
box set is particularly nice.

A very solid album imo- I enjoyed it immediately. ![](smileys/smiley32.gif) My favourite song on there is 'Broadsword' though- the guitar lines are very emotive and powerful...

The Broadsword and The Beast is in the top 5 of my favourite JT albums. There is not one song on this album that I dislike - but to go against the trend I voted "Pussy Willow" because of it's prosaic beauty.

Obviously I like the whole album. If I have to choose one song of the 10, I would go with "Clasp". Very rapresentative of the entire work.
Slow Marching Band is usually one of the most succesful tracks when I make other "common" people to listen to Tull.

Staring at these titles, all great songs. I have to punk out and not vote because I can't decide. Album is too strong.

Broadsword is a bit of a boring song, so is Slow marching band. Seal driver is the best song on the album, followed by Clasp, Watching me watching you and Fallen on hard times. Beastie is the worst song on the album ;). The remaster has better bonus songs, plus there are another 8 more other bonus songs which are better than Beastie and Broadsword :)

"Pussy Willow" for me. I have fond memories of this record, as I first saw JT when it had just come out.
