Have any of you seen it around?

EmbarrassedArc-weld, please don't take offense -- I thought that your post was genuinely funny (you know, guys, if Gdub could find his electric bill, and pay it, the lights would work, but he can't find it, as the place is all dark.... oh, forget it!) and it wasn't PMS, but McEwan's Strong that had kicked in (oooh -- me 'ead!)Ouch

I am from Newfoundland's capital of St. John's, BTW, and don't have much of an accent....

I am a huge fan of Ireland, and all things Irish, from the great music, to films, to books, to beer, to the lovely-looking land itself.Big smile

Irish wit is second to none.Thumbs Up

Ermm I was only pulling your leg -- I like to tease people, hoping they will do so back, but I won't tease those whom it bugs....  (for long)Wink

as was the gag about Newfie accents, I've only ever
read the Shipping News (great book) and had to
suffer Kevin Spacey in the ridiculous film of
same....oh dear!
Guess I'm over-sensitive about paddy-bashing, 800
years of oppression and all that
Still, do wonder if all the people in Newfoundland
divorced their wives would they still have sisters
sorry, couldn't resist

^ There you go!

Now, doesn't that make you feel a whole lot better?

SmilePeace, me fellow islander -- I'll never call you a "paddy" again, boghopper.Wink

that'll do!!
how about ....
woolly-back – a term of derision for a person of rural
or bucolic origin who quite possibly may be
genetically disadvantaged by the possession of fur
on the dorsal side of the torso
