All these 3 had Coverdale on vocals and Come taste the band had Tommy Bolin joining them.

I vote for Burn with Come Taste the band close behind.

Burn and Made in Europe

the other two downright stink

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

IMO, Burn is the overall best album ... even if Stormbringer had a couple of monster songs ... also don't think Come Taste The Band is a total waster of time (You Keep On Movin' is excellent) ... still I think a single CD of the best of the Coverdale/Hughes era wouldn't reach the heights of Machine Head and In Rock

I think 'Burn' is one of their best (an absolute stunner of a vocal from Coverdale on 'Mistreated'), 'Stormbringer' is way too clean and tidy to be a classic and it seems like Glenn Hughes took over a bit on this album, being probably their weakest of the 70s (though at least half the album is good stuff and there's no teeth grindingly bad songs), but 'Come Taste The Band' is an underrated gem- some of the songs I'm a bit indifferent to, but Tommy Bolin is remarkably good on it and it was Glenn Hughes' best work for the band.

Still though, 'Burn' would get my vote.

"Burn" is a force to be reckoned with.  Their best album ever.

I love all three albums, but obviously "Burn" is the best by far. "Stormbringer" has some good songs on it, but perhaps a bit too much filler. "Come Taste the Band", though, is a much better album than it usually gets credit for. Bolin was a great player (though no Ritchie Blackmore, alas!), and I love "This Time Around" to bits.

Come Taste The Band ain't too bad, but Burn is one of their best albums of any period.

Ok Burn is actually more similar to MK 2 era albums. But still Stormbringer is lovely soul funky rock album and Come Taste the Band another classic hard rock album with funk in it. I'll go for Stormbringer.
