I would say that, in general, the members of Genesis seem to be very popular here.

ex: Peter Gabriel is the man.
ex2: Phil Collins screwed the band.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Post-rock bands seem to always come up - that's why I started a thread asking for an entry album so I could see what all the buzz was about.

By the way, your sig always manages to crack me up.  In what year did you show Holder's Inequality?

My vote goes for Fripp.  I'm sure there's a way to do a search and find this out objectively, but I'm too lazy attempt it.

Probably Robert Fripp, Gabriel, Hammill or Collins for individual musicians.

Genesis or Marillion for bands.

I guess Genesis and the band members are the most often discussed here.
